Smarter Usage Metrics: DAU, WAU, and Now MAU

Usage metrics drive every conversation about growth. Daily and weekly activity (DAU, WAU) already gave a pulse check, but without MAU the picture was incomplete. Now, monthly active users are included.

The trio of DAU, WAU, and MAU makes it possible to track both short-term activity bursts and long-term retention. An app might have spikes in daily activity from ad campaigns, but steady MAU shows if those users stick around.

Besides that, DAU and WAU have been recalculated with a refined model. This means fewer anomalies and a smoother read on real usage. 

Export from Creative Gallery

Now you can export a specific selection of creatives based on your query, delivered as a table with direct links and key data. 

This makes it easier to collect only what’s relevant. For example, you can export just puzzle ads from Q2, or only TikTok placements for a single publisher. Instead of sorting manually after download, you get a curated package straight from the gallery.

Sharing or archiving examples for reports, presentations, or internal workshops now takes less effort. The right creatives are just a click away.

Bulk Upload to Lists

Lists have always been useful for tracking apps or publishers across sections, but creating them one by one was slow. With bulk upload, you can build a list directly from your search or section results.

Instead of adding apps individually, select a batch and save it in one step. That list then works like before as a filter everywhere in Apptica, but now it takes seconds to set up.

Totals for Downloads and Revenue

For our paid subscribers, we’re opening up monthly totals on downloads and revenue, even if you don’t have access to Store Intelligence. With one glance, you can access the big picture on app performance without extra calculations.

Custom Graph Expansion

Custom Graph now works with more flexibility and speed. You can compare several apps on a single chart, making competitive analysis easier. You can choose from the available metrics and add up to 5-7 of them to the graph. The feature has been redesigned so setup is quicker and results are easier to read.

We also added a widget inside App Profiles, which automatically shows graphs for the selected app. It’s the same tool, but now it behaves like a dashboard.

Featuring in App Profiles: Go Beyond the Last 30 Days

Featuring data in App Profiles now goes deeper than the last 30 days. You can filter by period and see how Featuring looked months ago.

This opens up a longer historical view. By connecting placements to traffic or revenue, patterns become easier to detect.
