Blackstone announced acquiring Vungle last week.
The in-app marketing platform publishes more than 60 000 mobile apps worldwide, including apps by Microsoft, Scopely, Rovio, and Zynga.
The company serves more than 4 billion video views every month in more than a billion mobile devices. It has high user retention.
‘We are happy to be part of Blackstone and to start the next chapter in our story. With Blackstone’s expertise and skills, we can improve on our trusted guide for engagement and mobile growth,’ said the CEO of Vungle, Rick Tallman.
The company has offices in Tokyo, Singapore, Berlin, London, and Seoul and headquarters in San Francisco.
‘Vungle is well-positioned for continued success,’ said the principal at Blackstone, Sachin Bavishi. ‘We are happy to support the company to grow its capabilities and enter new markets to serve publishers and advertisers better.’
Vungle will be moving Jeremy Bond to COO as part of the new move. He is the current overseer of global revenue at the company.
‘Jeremy is a trusted leader and consistently delivers,’ added Tallman. ‘His operational and sales leadership have been instrumental to our fast and profitable growth in the past five years. It will be exciting working with him in this new role as we expand the company.’
